Stetson China SPRINGTIME 99 Pc Dinner Set
This Stetson China SPRINGTIME Pattern set is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or significant wear except as noted in one platter. A couple of these might have a small amount of fading of the decal. Set (99 pieces) includes: 13 of the 6 1/4" Bread and Butter or Dessert Plates; 12 of the 7 1/4" Salad Plates; 14 of the 10 1/4" Dinner Plates; 12 of the 5" Fruit or Dessert Bowls; 12 of the 8" Flat (Coupe) Soup Bowls; 11 Cup and Saucer Sets; 3 extra Cups; 6.5" (long) Gravy or Sauce Bowl; Covered Sugar and Creamer; 3 oval platters (Oval Platters includes one of a 15 1/2", 13 1/2" and 11" serving platter; smallest one has a bit of crazing); 2 of the 9.5" Oval Vegetable (Serving) Bowls; and an 8" Oval, Handled, Covered Soup Tureen. Priced WELL below book value; even though shipping might be expensive, the price will more than make up for it. I don't believe shipping to US will be more than $50 or so. I will provide an actual shipping quote for $10, as I will have to bubble wrap and box each piece in several boxes; if you buy the set, the $10 will applied toward actual shipping. I do not charge handling, I will charge only actual. This pattern features a pink, yellow, orange and blue spring flower bouquet on offwhite glazed china. The Stetson China Company was formed in 1946 in Lincoln Illinois and went out of business in 1966; the company decorated whiteware provided by Mt. Clemens Pottery with decals (and, for a short time, hand painting). Nearly all of Stetsonīs ware was sold to a Chicago brokerage firm (Marcrest) who in turn sold it to grocery and furniture stores. Stetson did not mark all of their pieces, and some of the pieces in this collections are marked, others are not (see picture 2 for the mark on the bottom of one of the platters).
